The aged tsipouro of the Spyropoulos family is an elegant spirit with expressive aromas and rich chocolate taste. The excellent raw material, the water coming from a spring in the mountains of Dirfys, the fermentation at controlled temperatures and the distillation in copper stills with a stirring column, lead to a pure spirit, which after maturing for two years in oak barrels of French and American origin, acquires a complex, mellow and attractive character.
The colour is amber, with the fruity aromas being ripe and reminiscent of fruit jams and dried orange peels, and the oak coating the spirit with sweet spices, vanilla, butterscotch, cocoa and nuts. The flavor is rich and persistent, with the oak flavors besieging the palate and leaving a lingering chocolatey aftertaste.
