Vineyard Privately owned vineyard of 6 hectares in the commune of Koutsi (Nemea, Greece). This 35 year old vineyard is at an altitude of 380 meters. Clay based soil with an aspect that allows for the maximum amount of sunshine, as well as being cooled by the north winds during the maturing period of the summer. The slopes of the vineyard provide excellent drainage.
Wine and Wine-making Cold maceration lasting for 25 days in a temperature-controlled environment to ensure optimum extraction. 12 months aging in new oak barrels.
Tasting Notes Full-bodied with fine tannins, this greek wine features complex aromas of red fruit, with hints of eucalyptus and green bell pepper. Well-structured and balanced, it has a velvety palate and a long finish. Can be cellared for an additional 5 to 10 years.
