The name is dedicated to queen Cleopatra, the first alchemist who tried to distill gold. The distillation is carried out in a new bain-marie vacuum, called Poli Crysopea (a column in bain maríe, with a device to pull the air and create a vacuum), an innovation, a result of the cooperation of Poli and the the Institute of San Michele all'Adige. The particularity of this mix is the low temperature of the distillation in order to maintain more flavorings. Cleopatra Moscato Oro is obtained from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara for "Amarone" from Valpolicella.
