Distilled in Barbados, this expression from Mount Gay was named for the 'double phenomenon' of a total solar eclipse and the passage of Halley's comet in 1910. For many rum aficionados Eclipse is also the reference by which all rum should be measured. A really unique rum, enjoy it neat, on ice or in cocktails!

Nose: Stone and citrus fruits like apricot, banana and orange peel, with sweet notes of vanilla and hints of black pepper.

Palate: Full body with flavors of citrus zest, vanilla, butterscotch and caramel with a spicy ginger and a refreshing peppermint in the backround. 
The oak provides a descreet smokiness that complements the rum's complexity.

Aftertaste: Long and dry with a delicate citrus zest, black pepper notes and some smokiness.

30ml Moount Gay Eclipse
8ml Blackberry Liqueur
8ml Creme de Banana Liqueur
60ml Orange Juice
15ml Grenadine
240ml crushed ice
Pour ingredients and the crushed ice in a blender. Blend until become slushy and pour into hurricane glass.
