Vineyard: Selective vineyards of Gironde.
Vinification: Cold pre-fermentation maceration applied to certain batches. Traditional vinification in individual batches in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Decuvage by hand from tanks filled with marc. 12 - 14 months in oak barrels, in individual batches. Partly aged on the lees.
Tasting Notes: Deep and concentrated in appearance. Intense notes of black cherries, ripe fruits and spice define the wine on the bouquet. Generous on the attack, the silky wine coats the palate and reveals good structure. Delicately integrated oak, accompanies the savoury, lingering finish of this impressive, concentrated and fleshy Pey La Tour Reserve.
Paired with: Pasta with tomato sauce and grilled meat.
Served at: 16-18°C.
Aging potential: 6-8 years.
