
O.F.T.D. officially stands for Old Fashioned Traditional Dark but if you ask any of the seven collaborators who were in the room when this blend was born, they’ll tell you it really stands for something else that was exclaimed when the winning rum was tasted.The rum is fermented for 72 hours in Barbados, 1 week in Guyana and 2 weeks in Jamaica. The result is an unparallel rum. Enjoy it neat or on ice.
Nose: Intense and very precise notes of coffee, orange, plum, jam and truffles.
Palate: Very complex with oak offered flavors like caramel cream, chocolate and vanilla, sweet spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves with a smokiness in the backround.
Aftertaste: Very long. The spices are dominating the aftertaste. Clove, cinnamon and pepper leave an very pleasant taste in the mouth that stays.
